Bright, Glowing Eyes: Eye Care Tips

Introduction

The eye is one of the attractiveness of an individual. Having beautiful eyes are everybody’s dream especially women. People are willing to spend money in order to get healthy and glowing eyes.

Here are some simple tips for attractive and beautiful eyes

  • Adequate sleep.

Make sure you get enough sleep for at least 6 to 8 hours a day. Lack of sleep can lead to tired eyes, puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.

  • Drink plain water sufficiently.

Drink plenty of plain water for at least 8 glasses or 1 liter a day. Water serves as a solvent, refrigerant, lubricant and transport nutrients throughout the body. A good hydration can prevent skin dryness and wrinkles.

  • Take Eye Makeup Off Before Bedtime.

Make sure to clean the eye make-up before going to bed. Cleaning eye make-up should be done properly to prevent chemicals from entering the eye.

  • Balanced diet.

Eat lots of fruits and veggies and avoid smoking. Green leafy vegetable such as spinach contains lutein which is good for the eyes. Red coloured fruits and vegetables such as carrot, sweet potatoes and tomatoes contain a lot of Vitamin A.

Vitamin A, also known as Retinol helps build pigments for good night vision. Vitamin A is also found in food such as liver, cheese, egg yolks and butter. Vitamin C found in vegetables and fruits aids in formation of collagen which can improve the elasticity of skin around the eyes.

  • Wear UV protective sunglasses.

Use UV-blocking sunglasses when doing outdoor activities. Exposure to excessive UV rays may cause cataract and in high amount, it may damage the cornea, lens and retina. Therefore, using appropriate sunglasses is necessary to prevent the negative effects caused by the UV light.

A pair of good sunglasses must have features such as tinted glass that can prevent glare, and ability to absorb UV light. Better still, avoid buying cheap sunglasses at night markets because most of these glasses do not filter UV light, thus do not protect our eyes from UV rays.

  • Exercise.

Exercise should be done regularly to improve the health of the body and the eyes in particular.Simple exercises such as rolling the eyeballs can reduce the tension in the muscles around the eyes after prolonged computer work. Another exercise is to close your eyes completely in order to avoid dryness of the eyes.

  • Traditional

You can put cucumber slices on eyelids to eliminate eye fatigue. Cucumber slices can also be replaced with tea bag. In addition, small ice cubes can be used to refresh the sleepy eyes
